William Murray’s Wonder Women have been toning up and chilling out with pilates lessons – courtesy of our very own pilates teacher Holly. The new lunchtime sessions not only strengthen and tone, improving posture, flexibility and balance but are helping the team create a better mind and body connection.
Viadeo, the second largest back-engine professional, online networking provider in the world, has appointed William Murray Communications to work with them on a new project.

Today’s Daily Express reports that rather be connected to a lack of willpower a love of junk food is out of our hands. Apparently the balance of fat, sugar and salt found in many junk foods triggers a ‘bliss point’ in our brains which leads to junk food addiction.
I bet Michael Caines is hiding under his duvet this morning after his restaurant at the four-star Abode Hotel in Canterbury was given a one star food-hygiene rating. If this wasn’t enough embarrassment, the score is actually lower than that of an elderly day centre café…
A group of pensioners in Cambridgeshire have had their weekly coffee morning axed over fears their hot coffee is a health and safety risk.
In the latest of an ever increasing number of health and safety over reactions – last month it was pick-your-own raspberries being deemed too dangerous – council officials have now banned the meetings claiming that infants who use the library at the same time could be injured if the hot coffee is spilt on them.
One pensioner, Mrs Owen, told The Daily Telegraph: “We are being told we can’t have a hot drink. Health and safety is a silly excuse. We have now made alternative arrangements and plan to have our coffee mornings at each other’s homes.”
The answer is yes, they will. Approximately 800 British Airways staff have agreed to work for free in a bid to save the airline. After BA’s chief executive, Willie Walsh, made a dramatic appeal for his workers to pull together, 800 staff agreed to work for one month unpaid with another 6,200 taking a pay cut.
Today’s Sun reports that Tesco will be creating 1,500 jobs as it moves into banking. Whatever you think of the supermarket giants it’s great news that they are able to offer jobs at a time when unemployment is soaring. Or as the store might say: every little helps.
The Unilever team have been celebrating the fantastic results of their recent email campaign on behalf of Flora. The campaign focused attention on Flora’s Heart Age Tool – an interactive programme that is designed to increase awareness about the risk factors that affect a healthy heart. The email announced the launch of the Heart Age Tool and encouraged users to find out their ‘heart age’. More than 72% of email recipients clicked on the link and set the Unilever team’s hearts aflutter as the industry average is only between 10 to 30%. Well done Michelle, Lauren, Daniela and Clare !!!
At the British Hospitality Association (BHA) annual lunch earlier this week, the Mayor said:
“My view is that not only is it in the interest of individuals, but it’s in the interest of the businesses they serve. Workers should be paid the London Living wage. Those businesses that do, enjoy greater loyalty and retention of staff and gain a range of long term efficiencies.”
London Citizens and the Unite Union supported the Mayor in an orderly demonstration outside the Grosvenor House – where the BHA lunch took place – to protest that none of the London’s luxury hotels have adopted the living wage of £7.60 an hour.
Today’s Guardian reports that Woolworths is back! Well online anyway. I for one am filled with joy as I think about the brand reappearing, not because I need anything in particular from Woolworths that I couldn’t find anywhere else, but because it is part of who we all are. Everyone that grew up in the UK has a ‘Woolworth story’ to tell…
